Academician Allan Kalueff, Ph.D., Dr. sci., MAE
Professor of Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor of Neuroscience and Pharmacology, Department of Biological Sciences, School of Science, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Suzhou, China#
Allan Kalueff, Ph.D., Dr. sci., MAE research focus is neuropharmacology and developing new animal models of brain disorders, with particular focus on affective disorders, psychoses, neurodevelopmental disorders, and drug abuse. Dr. Kalueff’s research combines high- throughput neurophenotyping screens with genetic and pharmacological modulation in both rodent and zebrafish models. The laboratory’s most recent research interests capitalize on unique advantages offered by zebrafish models. Currently, his laboratory is one of the leaders in the field of zebrafish neuroscience. His aim to run a vibrant translational research program, based on zebrafish models (which are extended to rodent models, capitalizing on past research experience with mouse and rat models of brain disorders, and clinical models).
