Framework Agreement for the Continuation of Academia Europaea Wrocław Knowledge Hub signed#

The AE are pleased to announce that the official Framework Agreement for the Continuation of Academia Europaea Knowledge Hub in Wrocław for another two years was signed last week by the President of Academia Europaea, Professor Sierd Cloetingh and the Mayor of Wrocław, Rafał Dutkiewicz.

The agreement opens up the implementation of the 2019-2020 program which includes both continuation and launching of numerous projects.

New Academic Director#

At the same meeting, Professor Tadeusz Luty stepped down as Academic Director for the Hub and the AE Board were pleased to confirm Professor Arkadiusz Wójs (Dean of Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology at Wrocław University of Science and Technology) as his successor.

Lectures#

The official part of the meeting was followed by three absorbing lectures of Academia Europaea Members about their current research and scientific fascinations.

The focus of the Hub#

The Academia Europaea Knowledge Hub was opened in Wrocław in 2011 as the first regional office of the Academia Europaea.

The main objective of this regional office is:

• Mobilization and internationalization of the local academic institutions and universities,
• Supporting Central and Eastern European scholars,
• Establishment and consolidation of relations between foreign and local researchers,
• Organisation and coordination of conferences, symposia, lectures and seminars.
